Stick Horses in Pants has been around since 2004 when some theater-loving friends formed the group and did shows in people’s living rooms and basements. Their audience quickly expanded, and they began holding weekly shows out of Old Colorado City at The Loft. They now do monthly shows out of the Lon Chaney Theatre on Friday nights.
The comedy troupe ranges in size every season, but they always bring in the laughs. They have learned how to work like a true team, and part of the team is the audience—which is the heart of any good improv show. Whether the comedy team is making up love song lyrics about their favorite bathtime toy or pretending to be cowboys trapped on the planet of Marzipan, they come up with endlessly entertaining ways to spin the ridiculous scenarios that the audience provides them for their skits.
